Chickpeas are very versatile, full of protein as well. I have seen chickpeas been used in everything these days, from savoury to sweet dishes, I absolutely love it.
I made this dish as a side to go with Pitta, but it can be paired with rice or couscous as well. its easy to make and very quick too.

ingredients:
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1tbsp ginger/garlic paste
- 1 tbsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tbsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- salt to taste
- 250g Paneer, diced in cubes
- 1 tin of chickpeas drained
- chopped coriander
Method:
- Add a little oil or fright light to the pan
- when the oil is hot add red onion, when the onion is translucent add ginger/garlic paste and cook for 2-3 mins
- paneer and chickpeas, cook for 2-3 mins
- add cumin powder and cook for another 5 mins
- in the end add chaat masala and chopped coriander

have a squeeze of lemon if you prefer.
