It sounds strange but believe me it works. It is so simple and quick recipe, perfect for weekdays when you want something different but simply don’t have enough time.

Preparation takes just few minutes, all the ingredients from cupboard, well except ginger. I have used frozen ginger, so no chopping and paste making efforts at all. And cooks within 10 mins. It’s better to use chicken breast if you are baking it, but chicken thighs will be equally delicious when fried in this batter. Any chicken substitute will be fine too with this recipe.
Lovely with a salad or as a starter…try it and let me know your thoughts xx
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp of Gram flour or chickpea flour
- 1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
- 2-3 chopped chillis
- 1 tbsp of tandoori masala
- 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
- 2 tbsp of Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp of red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder(optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1 chicken breast, cut in to chunks or any meat alternatives

Method:
- Mix all the ingredients except chicken. It should form a think paste
- Dry chicken with kitchen towel, one by one coat the chicken in the batter
- You can either fry them or bake it in the oven it’s up to you
- I baked mine in air fryer on 180’c for 10-12mins
- If you baking make sure your oil or spray enough oil on the tray as it sticks to the bottom.
- Mine came out very crispy. Although some did get stuck a little on tray but I still prefer baked than fried.
