Inspired by Bakewell tarts which I love, these bakewell slices are my healthier creation. I have used oats flour, sweetener and reduced sugar jam to keep it low calorie.

It’s easier to make, put everything in a bowl mix and bake. It taste great and without any guilt just the way I like it…lol

Ingredients: (makes 5)
- 100g oats flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp sweetener
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp reduced sugar raspberry jam
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, mix need to be dropping consistency if not add little milk
- Have a 17×11 cm tin, line and buttered all around, use tin of your choice small will Have thick slices and big one will Have thin slices or double up the recipe for more slices
- Put half of the mix in the tray, spread jam then add rest of the batter, and more jam on the top, bake for 15-20mins on 180’c until skerwer inserted some spit clean
- take it out of the tray, let it cool before slicing
