Lean meat is great way of including protein, they are rich in iron and vitamins and has less saturated fats. More reasons to include in your meals.

I buy 5% fat mince, I usually buy big packs beside they are cheaper, then divide in portions and freeze them. When I nee to make them I either take one portion out overnight in fridge or take it out in the morning if I need it in the evening.
Here’s the recipe for simple and easy burgers, little spicy but actually simply meaty burgers, add a burgers buns it will go great with that too. Or with salad and potatoes equally delicious.

Ingredients:(4)
- 200g mince lean beef or lamb
- 1 red onion finely chopped
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- Hand full of coriander, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove grated
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- To serve
- 100 g butternut squash, diced
- 1 boiled potato
Method:
- In a bowl add all the ingredients other than squash and potatoes and mix with hand, best way, squeez a little so it’s come together
- Shape like burgers, pan fri them for 5-6 mins each sides on low-med heat
- In same pan after burgers are cooked, add par boiled butternut squash, I boiled them for 4-5 mins in water until little soft, drained and dried with kitchen towel. Sprinkle salt and pepper and keep turning until all the sides are crispy and little chargrilled gives better flavour
