Who doesn’t like chocolates, and I am big fan of dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is not very sweet and actually it’s healthier for you, you know why Dark chocolate is rich in minerals, such as iron, magnesium, and zinc. The cocoa in dark chocolate also contains antioxidants.
After a busy week, when I look at weekend I look at baking, making something very chocolatey…something that is so indulgent that satisfy your cravings for sure. When it comes to cakes we all have different preferences at home, not making my life easier in any way lol.

This recipes is for me, it’s everything I want in my cake. I liked this recipes as it’s low sugar, dairy free, gluten free and guilt free. Only sugar source is from dates and dark cooking chocolate. Great things about this is you can have it as a cake or warm it up slightly to make it into a pudding.

Ingredients:(3-4 servings)
- 150 g dates
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp almond butter or butter os your choice
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 20 gms melted dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
Method:
- Blend dates, cocoa and almond butter in a blender until fine paste, add vanilla
- In a separate bowl melt dark chocolate, add cocoa and coconut oil, mix well, let it cook a little. If the mix is too loose add some cocoa or if it’s too hard add little coconut oil
- In a small mould our tin make a layer of dates mix pour over chocolate mix, place in fridge for 10-15 mins. Make another layer as same
- And enjoy 😊

Note:
It’s good to eat as it is or you can also heat it up in microwave for about 15-20 secs for melting pudding feel. It’s heavy to eat so this recipes can serve up to 3-4 portions.
